Consultant Data Engineer - Insurance sector - Freelance

We are looking for skilled Data Engineers with to strengthen our data platform teams and accelerate several strategic initiatives across our Azure-based analytical data landscape. Our environment has a strong focus on Azure Synapse Analytics, with a delta lakehouse underneath on Azure Data Lake Storage.

Successful candidates will play a key role in stabilizing, optimizing, and extending our data ecosystem while ensuring regulatory compliance and high data quality across the organization.

You will work in a modern, cloud-based data environment built on:

Azure Synapse Analytics

PySpark and SparkSQL (Spark 3.5/4.X) experience

Azure Synapse Pipelines

Azure Data Lake Storage

Azure DevOps (CI/CD)

OpenLineage

Nice to have:

Experience with financial institutions, risk reporting, or regulatory frameworks (BCBS239, BIRD, GDPR)
French or Dutch and English.
