Project Summary

We are seeking a Senior/Master Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable and reliable data pipelines and curated datasets for enterprise analytics. The role focuses on implementing medallion architecture principles, ensuring data quality and governance, and supporting analytics-ready data environments using Microsoft Fabric or equivalent cloud platforms.

Goals and deliverables

Main Responsibilities & Key Activities

Build and maintain ingestion pipelines from enterprise sources (APIs, databases, files, streaming, event-based systems)

Develop and optimize ETL/ELT transformations and data workflows

Implement curated and analytics-ready datasets following medallion architecture

Ensure data quality validation, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms

Optimize performance, execution time, and storage efficiency of pipelines

Support deployment lifecycle across Dev/Test/Prod environments

Implement governance, access control, and security standards

Troubleshoot data pipeline failures and inconsistencies

Collaborate with BI and Analytics teams to deliver trusted datasets

Maintain technical and operational documentation

 

Experience Required

Minimum 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering

Proven experience building scalable data pipelines in enterprise environments

Experience implementing medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold layers)

Strong background in ETL/ELT design and optimization

Experience with cloud data platforms (Microsoft Fabric preferred)
