Senior Data Engineer - Freelance

Context

A leading global cosmetics company is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in data engineering, including experience as a technical lead. The role is based at 2-4 avenue de la liberté and is available for immediate start. The position can be freelance or through Valor Connect.

Missions

• Lead data engineering initiatives with strong technical expertise.
• Write complex BigQuery queries using CTEs, window functions, and analytical functions.
• Optimize query performance and cost through partitioning, clustering, and caching.
• Tune and optimize large-scale queries using execution plans.
• Build robust data models using star and snowflake schemas, designed for PowerBI or Looker.
• Develop scalable, secure data pipelines to integrate and expose data within the group data platform.
• Implement data integration using various patterns: API, database, cloud-to-cloud, file transfer, etc.
• Work with BI tools such as PowerBI and Looker.
• Build and integrate AI components within data pipelines.
• Manage infrastructure as a service and CI/CD processes.

Tools & Environment

• Certification: GCP Professional Data Engineer
• Technologies: BigQuery, Cloud Workflows, Cloud Build, Apigee, SQL, Python, Terraform, GitHub
• BI Tools: PowerBI, Looker
• Infrastructure as a service, CI/CD pipelines

• Expertise with media and digital data, including Google Analytics, Salesforce, CRM, and social media.
