About Zadient Technologies

Zadient Technologies is a French deep-tech company pioneering an innovative silicon carbide (SiC) production process. Their breakthrough technology enables ultra-low-cost, high-purity SiC manufacturing—critical for next-generation semiconductors used in electric vehicles, renewable energy, and aerospace.
Since securing funding in November 2025, Zadient has accelerated its R&D and pilot production efforts. The company is now scaling toward industrial readiness, and we’re seeking a Head of IT to build a robust, secure, and scalable IT foundation.

Key Responsibilities

1. IT Foundations & Data Security (Hands-On)

• Design and implement a cloud-first IT architecture with security-by-design principles.
• Establish identity and access management (IAM, SSO, MFA, RBAC) and enforce strict data security policies.
• Define data protection, backup, recovery, and retention for sensitive and proprietary information.
• Deploy and manage employee devices (MDM, disk encryption) and enforce IT standards.
• Ensure reliable daily IT operations and user support with structured documentation.

2. Industrial Readiness & Manufacturing IT Support

• Prepare IT systems for industrial and manufacturing use cases, ensuring compatibility with:
• Current R&D tools and future manufacturing systems.
• Data traceability, audit requirements, and reliability constraints.
• Collaborate with engineering, R&D, and operations to translate manufacturing needs into IT requirements.
• Support integration with future systems (MES, OT, data platforms) without owning core manufacturing execution.
• Strengthen security and compliance to meet customer, partner, and regulatory expectations.

3. Run, Optimize & Scale

• Stabilize and optimize the IT environment with improved automation, monitoring, and cost control.
• Structure vendor relationships and external partnerships for long-term scalability.
• Prepare the company for growth (50–100+ employees) and contribute to the IT roadmap and organizational design.

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5–10+ years in IT infrastructure, cloud, or IT leadership roles.
• Proven expertise in data security, access control, and infrastructure protection.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining business-aligned IT solutions with standards/procedures.
• Strong people management and vendor/outsourcing coordination skills.
• Knowledge of ERP, MES, SCM, PLM, HCM, and BI tools.
• Ability to design reliable, traceable IT systems for industrial environments.
• Deep understanding of IT governance and compliance standards.
• Self-motivated, resilient, and pragmatic—excels in small, fast-moving teams.
• Fluent in English (remote collaboration with international teams).
• Experience in industrial, deep-tech, R&D, or manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with semiconductor/wafer industries (not required but valuable).
• Knowledge of DevOps, automation, or compliance frameworks.
• Experience with SAP systems.
