Key Responsibilities

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Translate business requirements into technical specifications while aligning with Operation Excellence principles.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure solutions adhere to GxP regulations, data privacy, and cybersecurity standards.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with Cloud/Data Architects, Product Owners, Dev Teams, and External Partners to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Solution Design & Development:
• Design optimized data modules for reliability, reusability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Support Data Engineers in modeling and pipeline development.
• Team Leadership:
• Build, mentor, and manage a team of Data & AI Engineers.
• Foster professional growth through mentorship and career development.
• Operational Excellence:
• Define support models and oversee build/run activities.
• Participate in community of practice as a thought leader.
• Cost Optimization: Continuously refine modules to reduce operational costs.

Who You Are

A dynamic, experienced leader with 8–10 years in Data Engineering, passionate about challenging the status quo to enable enterprise-wide data initiatives. You thrive in agile environments, prioritize data quality, security, and governance, and have a proven track record of influencing cross-functional teams.

Experience & Qualifications

• 8–10 years in Data Engineering, with expertise in:
• Developing production-ready data pipelines and models.
• Agile/DevOps methodologies (CI/CD, cloud-native architectures).
• Team leadership (mentoring, talent development).
• Healthcare industry experience (preferred).
• Compliance expertise (GxP, SOX, data privacy, cybersecurity).
• Cloud & Data Platforms:
• AWS (Azure, Snowflake as a plus).
• Data Warehousing (Snowflake, IICS, Tibco).
• Orchestration (Apache Airflow).
• Vector/LLM Databases (Pinecone, AWS Bedrock, Snowflake Cortex).
• Time-Series/Graph Databases (TigerDB, Neo4J).

Technical Skills

• Languages & Tools:
• SQL, Python, R (scripting).
• GitHub, Terraform, Ansible (automation).
• JSON, YAML, Shell Scripting.
• Backup Systems (NetBackup, CommVault).
• Monitoring & FinOps:
• Splunk, Datadog, BPPM.
• ServiceNow, FinOps best practices.
• Visualization: PowerBI, Tableau.
• Certifications: AWS, Azure, Snowflake, IICS (preferred).

Soft Skills

• Communication: Fluent in English & French; strong written/verbal skills.
• Leadership: Ability to align teams, drive results, and solve complex problems.
• Collaboration: Service-oriented, adaptable, and proactive.
• Problem-Solving: Critical thinking with a data-driven mindset.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
