AI Engineer - Enterprise AI - Freelance

Context

This role sits within a leading pharmaceutical company's AI Workflow accelerator, a strategic cross-functional team deploying AI agents at enterprise scale to transform how employees work with internal tools. You will design, industrialize, and ship agentic AI solutions into production, working hands-on across the full data and model lifecycle.

Missions

• Develop and industrialize AI agents, from prototype to production-grade systems.

• Deploy AI solutions into production with strong reliability and operational standards.

• Own feature engineering, context engineering, and prompt engineering.

• Manage the full data lifecycle supporting the agentic workflows.

• Ensure data quality and sound data governance across the platform.

Tools & Environment

• Strong command of Snowflake.

• Solid experience with AWS, in particular serverless services and Bedrock.

• Working knowledge of dbt and Airflow.

• Agentic AI expertise.

• Proven experience building and deploying AI agents.

Working Conditions

• Location: Toronto.

• On-site presence: 3 days per week (hybrid).
