Cloud Engineer (Azure) | Ghent, Belgium | Freelance Contract - Freelance

We are currently looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to join a major digital transformation program based in Ghent.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable and secure Azure cloud environments.

• Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or Bicep).

• Support the migration and modernization of applications to Azure.

• Implement cloud governance, security best practices, and monitoring solutions.

• Collaborate with development, platform, and operations teams to improve reliability and automation.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native architecture initiatives.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer in Microsoft Azure environments.

• Strong knowledge of Azure services such as AKS, Azure Networking, Entra ID, Azure Monitor, Storage, and Virtual Machines.

• Experience with Terraform, Bicep, or similar IaC tools.

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container technologies is a plus.

• Good understanding of cloud security, automation, and DevOps practices.

• Strong communication skills and fluent English.
