Senior Risk & Regulatory Consultant - Freelance

As a Senior Risk & Regulatory Consultant within Belgain Private bank, you play a proactive and structuring role within Belfius Private. You are expected not only to contribute to existing processes, but also to design, improve and implement new procedures, frameworks and reporting tools that strengthen risk management and internal controls.
You act as a key contributor in cross functional initiatives and projects, helping to reduce the impact and likelihood of potential risks while ensuring effective regulatory follow-up.

Experience : 9+ Years of relevant experience

Your responsibilities include:
* Proactively monitoring and driving action plans related to risk management and regulatory topics.
* Performing first Line controls on the correct implementation of internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (e.g. AML, Mifid, data protection, product governance,...).
* Designing, implementing, and improving procedures, methodologies, and reporting, with a focus on clarity, consistency, and usability.
* Contributing to the development and strengthening of the internal control framework.
* Preparing high quality reports, executive summaries and presentations tailored to senior management expectations.
* Supporting business activities, including documentation and continuous improvement.
* Working closely with experienced colleagues in a cross functional environment, enabling rapid integration and the development of a broad internal network.

You bring:

* A strong knowledge in Risk, Regulatory, Compliance and governance topics.
* A bachelor’s or master’s degree, with an affinity for private banking
* A proven ability to take initiative and translate ideas into concrete procedures, tools and deliverables.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and convincingly.
* Strong executive level communication skills, with the ability to adapt messages and reporting to senior management.
* A critical, analytical, and synthetic mindset.
* High autonomy combined with a results-oriented approach.
* Language skills are an asset: French and/or Dutch, with a good command of English
