Business Analyst KYC Automation - Freelance

Location - Brussels

we are seeking a Life Insurance Business Analyst within the Life Insurance division to join the "BUSINESS CHANGE & MONITORING" team to support the portfolio migration project or commercial developments projects.

This team of 10 people specialized in individual and collective life insurance consists of 3 types of functions: Actuaries, Business Analysts, and testers.

Your Responsibilities: Based on your profile, the project aims to automate and digitalize AML KYC processes

• Analysis

o Analyze KYC processes and data management

o Define associated requirements and formalize them according to defined quality standards.

o Identify the process and data impacts of the KYC process.

o Ensure understanding between the business and IT.

• Testing

  o Prepare and execute process and calculation tests.

• Monitoring

o Act as an intermediary between business and IT teams.

o Provide regular reporting on the progress of your activities. Ensure effective collaboration with numerous stakeholders (IT, Operations, Business, Distribution, etc.) and develop a trustful relationship with your clients and suppliers.

Your Profile:

• KYC Knowledge

o Understanding of regulatory obligations (KYC, AML, etc.) and their application in the context of life insurance

o Familiar with identity verification processes, etc.

• Process and business Analysis

o Proven successful experience as a Business Analyst

o Familiar with at least one standard business/process analysis methodology.

o Knowledge of the contract lifecycle and the high-level value chain of a life insurance company

o Ability to identify various business processes that could serve as triggers for recertification

o Ability to map, analyze, and propose improvements to existing KYC processes

o Critical thinking and ability to challenge expressed needs

o Ability to translate business needs into language understandable by technical teams, without having to write technical specifications

o Detail-oriented while capable of finding the effective level of abstraction based on context.

• IT / Data

o Familiar with various data constraints

o Familiar with service-oriented architectures (APIs, microservices)

o Understanding of automation solutions

o Able to act as a bridge between Business and IT

• Interpersonal Skills (to support change management)

o Clear and structured communication with various stakeholders (Business, IT, Compliance)

o Willingness to collaborate with teams: facilitating co-creation workshops and workshops aimed at capturing business needs

o Strong commitment to project quality and deadlines. A "can-do" attitude and f lexibility.

o University degree in mathematics (or equivalent experience).

o Minimum 5 years of experience in the life/banking insurance sector.

o Proficient in French and English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.

o Autonomous and proactive in finding solutions to obtain necessary information.

o Structured, organized (good priority management), and pragmatic.

o Strong adaptability and learning ability.
