Salary Range: ~€35,500 – €56,200 per year (based on Hellowork estimates)

Mission & Responsibilities

As a Backend Engineer at ALTEN, you will collaborate in an agile Scrum team within a startup-like environment to deliver high-quality software solutions. Your core responsibilities include:

• Requirements & Analysis
• Analyze technical specifications and define user requirements for new or upgraded software solutions.
• System Design & Development
• Design scalable systems and implement robust code following Amadeus standards.
• Conduct feasibility studies and propose technical solutions for validation by Product Management or stakeholders.
• Database & Software Engineering
• Model, design, and implement databases.
• Develop software adhering to Amadeus best practices.
• Testing & Quality Assurance
• Perform unit, integration, and performance testing to ensure compliance with Amadeus quality standards.
• Participate in product validation phases, refining solutions as needed.
• Customer Support & Debugging
• Collaborate with Product Managers or Product Definition Analysts to debug and optimize existing solutions.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
• Document technical work and generate software documentation for internal teams.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in backend development (Java, Python, or equivalent).
• Experience with database design (SQL, NoSQL).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of Amadeus standards (or similar enterprise systems).
• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on scalability and performance.
