IT Analyst / Developer COBOL Mainframe

Location: Brussels

Our IT department is looking to strengthen its current team supporting group life insurance systems. We are seeking an IT Analyst/Developer to analyze and develop the solutions required to maintain and evolve our core application. You will join a team of six colleagues who are eager to welcome you.

Responsibilities

o Manage the daily operations of the group life back-end application running on the mainframe.

o Deliver projects within agreed timelines.

o Monitor and follow up on daily incidents (low volume).

o Contribute to technical and functional documentation through code analysis and application behavior review.

o Implement simple, structured, and efficient solutions.

Profile

o Bachelor’s degree in IT development or equivalent experience.

o At least 3 years of experience in IT solutions within life insurance.

o Excellent command of French or Dutch, with good knowledge of the other national language, and comfortable working in English.

o Strong knowledge of COBOL / DB2; experience with mainframe environments and/or group life insurance is an asset.

o Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

o Rigorous, organized, able to manage priorities and meet tight deadlines.

o Able to learn quickly and work at a sustained pace in a dynamic environment.
