Context and objective of the mission

A major European energy production organization is strengthening its onsite support within its central IT organization. The organization is responsible for the maintenance and operation of European power plants, and its local IT departments have been centralized to rationalize the IT landscape and improve efficiency. In this context, the IS department is recruiting an IT Workplace Officer.

Main responsibilities

• Provide first-line and second-line support to end users and maintain IT equipment such as laptops and printers
• Install PCs and manage Windows systems
• Support technical IT experts on various projects such as migrations and renewal of computer equipment across operational sites
• Travel to different operational sites within the national territory as part of support and project activities

IT support

• Support end users with applications on Windows, including MS Office, browsers and chat systems
• Support end users on Android
• Provide on-site support to users in Belgium, mainly in Vlaanderen, and occasionally in other regions depending on language skills

IT expertise

• Install business applications
• Follow technology trends to help define new products to be used, such as smartphones and tablets
• Provide technical expertise in workplace IT projects such as Windows upgrades and deployment of new software

Additional information

• The position is based in Linkebeek, around Brussels
• Regular travel within different Belgian regions is required, depending on the agent's native language
• Occasional international travel may also apply
