Mac OS Engineer - Freelance

Daily rate: 530£

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced macOS Engineer to join the technology team of a leading global bank, supporting the design, deployment, and lifecycle management of macOS devices across the enterprise. The successful candidate will work within a highly regulated, security-conscious financial services environment, ensuring macOS endpoints are secure, compliant, and optimally configured for end users.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support macOS device fleet using enterprise MDM tooling (e.g., Jamf Pro, Intune, Workspace ONE)

• Build, maintain, and improve macOS imaging, provisioning, and patching processes

• Troubleshoot and resolve advanced macOS hardware, OS, and application issues (Tier 2/3 support)

• Ensure endpoint compliance with bank security policies (encryption, endpoint protection, configuration profiles)

• Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and end-user support teams on macOS-related projects and incidents

• Support integration between macOS and enterprise systems (Active Directory/Azure AD, identity/SSO, network policies)

• Document processes, configurations, and standard operating procedures

• Participate in change management and release processes within a regulated banking environment

Other Details

• Must be eligible to work in the UK and able to pass bank security/background clearance

• Flexibility for on-site presence in Canary Wharf 2–3 days/week is essential
