Mandate Accounting / Performance analyst - Freelance

Within the team Investment Operations - Mandate accounting , support the production of the BAU activity for internal mandate accounting during the production period.

(TECHNICAL) COMPETENCES

• Excellent knowledge of English. Other languages, especially French or Dutch, are a plus

• Knowledge of financial products and financial products transaction processing workflows

• Good knowledge of basic IT tools and of specific IT applications used in daily activities

• Experience in the field of Asset Management Operations

• Practical experience in performance measurement, portfolio analytics, or a related role within an asset-management, hedge-fund, or institutional-investment environment.

TO NOTE: Mission is Brussels based so partial on-site presence is expected.

The Mandate accounting team is in charge of validating the data available in our Position Keeping Tool : Monitoring and validating portfolio valuations of institutional clients (mandates) on reporting dates. Publish the valuations to downstream applications; Control the valuation plausibility of the mandates with a reference benchmark; Investigate and analyse errors shown in the control reports.

Key responsibilities:

• Timely production of the weekly / monthly portfolio valuation workflow in our Portfolio Management system (Aladdin)

• Co-ordination with the different reporting teams and other stakeholders to ensure a timely & accurate production. Ensure delays or other issues are well communicated.

• Application of the defined control framework to guaranty production of high standard quality.

• Active contribution to solve any pending issues within the entity or with other entities. Assuring that the day-to-day business is not blocked because of a pending issue. Escalation to team head of all critical issues.

o Proactive long-term resolution of issues

o logging issues for further analysis and actions jointly with the data team

o Communication of recurrent issues impacting operational efficiency and risk level to team head
