Operations Manager / Founder's Assistant M/F/D - Defence Tech - 2247 - Permanent

The recruiting company Our client is a European start-up specializing in electronic warfare and precision localization in the defense sector.

Key points of the position Reporting directly to the founders, you will operate at the intersection of operations, structure, and executive support. Your mission is to protect leadership and engineering teams from operational chaos and ensure structure, transparency, and momentum across the company.

Missions As an Operations Manager / Founder's Assistant, your missions will include:

• Maintaining and structuring the internal knowledge base, ensuring meetings, decisions, and processes are properly documented and connected
• Tracking operational tasks and deadlines in tools such as YouTrack to ensure reliable execution
• Preparing founders for meetings and key decisions, transforming discussions into actionable plans
• Managing sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism
• Supporting budgeting, tracking, and operational data analysis (Excel)
• Transforming draft presentations into professional materials for investors and high-level stakeholders
• Coordinating with Office Management, HR, Finance, and external partners to ensure smooth operational interfaces
• Stepping in operationally when required to save founder time (VIP visits, critical logistics)

Necessary skills

• You are highly structured and system-oriented, with strong digital organization skills
• Experience with tools such as Obsidian (Markdown), YouTrack, Jira, Notion, or similar platforms is highly appreciated
• You have experience in operations, executive support, or startup environments
• You are hands-on, proactive, and solution-oriented
• You demonstrate discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information
• Fluent German (written and spoken) and fluent English are imperative
• Eligibility for German security clearance (SÜ2/Ü2) is required

Salary 55–70k euros gross annual
