Project Planner / PMO (SaaS) - Freelance

Context

We are supporting a fast-growing international SaaS company undergoing a major modernization of its product portfolio and technology platform.

Several cross-functional Product, Engineering and IT initiatives are running in parallel. The company is looking for a Project Planner to strengthen delivery planning, forecasting, resource coordination and program reporting across these strategic initiatives.

Your Role

Reporting to a senior program / task-force lead, you will work closely with Product and Engineering teams to ensure cross-product programs are planned, monitored and delivered in line with agreed scope, timelines, quality and resource constraints.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and continuously update program delivery plans, primarily using MS Project.

• Provide delivery forecasts, planning status and “what-if” scenarios to support decision-making.

• Define, monitor and maintain key program and product delivery KPIs.

• Produce clear and timely dashboards and status reports for management stakeholders.

• Support Engineering Managers with resource planning, capacity analysis and potential team-composition scenarios.

• Help Product teams prioritize backlog items through forecasting and delivery-impact assessments.

• Track delivery progress with Product and Engineering teams on a day-to-day basis.

• Identify, document and monitor cross-team dependencies, risks, blockers and prerequisites.

• Escalate issues that could impact milestones, delivery dates or program scope.

• Help maintain backlog quality to ensure reporting and forecasting remain accurate.

Profile

• At least 4 years of experience in IT project planning, project management or PMO roles.

• Prior experience in a SaaS, software product or digital delivery environment.

• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and Agile / Scrum ways of working.

• Hands-on experience with MS Project and ideally Azure DevOps.

• Comfortable working with Product, Engineering and management stakeholders.

• Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset.

• Ability to work independently in a cross-functional and fast-moving environment.

Mission Details
