Stormshield, the leading French publisher and a reference European player in cybersecurity, is a subsidiary of Airbus Defence and Space Cyber Programmes and offers innovative, certified and European‑level qualified security products for protecting networks and data. To continue our growth, we are looking for a Systems & Network Engineer.

Within a dynamic and creative team, you will help strengthen our Quality Assurance group on our flagship solutions. The role involves independently deploying and building various IT system and network environments (switches, routers, firewalls, servers and applications) in order to test Stormshield firewalls in many configurations.

You will analyse how our products behave with the network traffic you generate and will provide analysis and recommendations to our development teams.

If you are motivated, you will enjoy assembling network labs while also developing automated tests.

What are the responsibilities of the Systems & Network Engineer?

• Test and measure the performance of software developments on firewalls;

• Perform performance measurements of our products (capacity and limits);

• Design and execute load or stress tests to assess the stability and robustness of our solutions;

• Enrich and keep our performance‑measurement infrastructures operational;

• Deploy lab setups with varied equipment to test ongoing developments under real‑client conditions;

• Develop automated tests to ensure reproducibility of our already performed performance measurements;

• Diagnose failures of our security solutions for remediation (reproduction, system & network lab‑building, analysis…);

• Propose improvements to enhance the products (functionality and quality);

• Assist Stormshield teams (technical support, pre‑sales, developers…) in reproducing and analysing reported issues.

What is the technical environment?

• Performance measurement tools: Spirent Test Center, Spirent Avalanche, Spirent Cyberflood, Cisco TRex Realistic Traffic Generator

• Networks: TCP/IP networking, network security, VPN, firewall

• Ecosystem: Linux, FreeBSD

• Scripting: Perl, Shell

• Virtualised environments: VMware, KVM

Which team?

You will be integrated into the SNS teams, led by Kevin, Mathieu or Emmanuel. Each team counts about twenty people: developers, testers, tech‑leaders, Scrum Master, Product Owner. You will join a Scrum Team of 5‑7 people (Scrum/Kanban). Collaboration is at the core of our way of working; teams are self‑managed and decide on their delivery commitments.

Which product?

You will work on Stormshield firewalls that make up our Stormshield Network Security (SNS) portfolio. By securing the network, an enterprise firewall protects the company from most cyber‑attacks. For more information about our products, you can visit our site: Stormshield Firewalls.
