Context

The SAP ABAP developer works alongside other ABAP developers and functional developers, possibly handling multiple pieces of work simultaneously, alongside ad-hoc support queries. They must collaborate effectively with the development team as peers and communicate efficiently with customers.

Missions

• Provide input into the design of SAP enhancements and rollouts, offering advice and feedback.
• Develop quality code and associated documentation adhering to team and departmental development standards.
• Accurately log time for completed tasks.
• Provide SAP support including analysis, development, testing, tracking, and resolution.
• Demonstrate a logical and structured approach to time management and task prioritization.
• Exhibit high-level communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ensure current skills are up-to-date through research and practice.
• Participate in team activities and planning to improve team skills, awareness, and quality of work.
• Engage professionally with customers when required.
• Organize time effectively on a daily and weekly basis, reporting and requesting assistance as needed.
• Work independently to achieve current aims over fixed periods or specific project work, prioritizing effort accordingly while receiving direction for other decision-making.
