Senior AI Engineer Full Stack (Barcelona)

Mission / Context

We are looking for a highly senior and fully autonomous AI Engineer to join the Digital Factory of a major international company.

This is not a mid-level execution role. We are specifically seeking a true expert who can take ownership of architecture, technical direction, and delivery without supervision.

You will design, build and deploy AI-driven agents integrated into internal business tools. The role requires strong architectural thinking, production-grade coding standards, and the ability to move from concept to deployment independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI agents embedded into internal platforms

• Lead backend architecture using Node.js, TypeScript and NestJS

• Develop robust frontend interfaces using React and TypeScript

• Architect and deploy AWS serverless infrastructure

• Ensure scalability, security and performance in production environments

• Make autonomous technical decisions aligned with business objectives

• Collaborate with product, data and security stakeholders

• Establish engineering standards and best practices

Technical Stack

• Backend: Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS

• Frontend: React, TypeScript

• Cloud: AWS (serverless architecture)

• DevOps: CI/CD, testing automation, monitoring

AI-Assisted Development Expectations

We are explicitly looking for engineers who already work with advanced AI coding tools such as Claude and Cursor as part of their daily development workflow.

You should know how to leverage these tools efficiently to accelerate delivery, maintain high code quality, and improve architectural decision-making.

Profile Requirements

• 5+ years of full-stack experience, ideally more

• Proven senior-level ownership of production systems

• Deep expertise in Node.js and TypeScript

• Strong experience with NestJS in real-world applications

• Solid React experience in complex environments

• Hands-on AWS serverless architecture experience

• Prior work integrating AI APIs or building AI-enabled products

• Fully autonomous, proactive and solution-oriented

• Fluent English required

This role requires someone who does not wait for instructions, does not need hand-holding, and can operate at a senior engineering level from day one.
