Senior Data Engineer / Tech Lead - Belgique - Freelance

Context

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer / Tech Lead to join a Warehouse Management Team within the automotive industry, in the context of a key replacement assignment.

You will be part of a global and international team, working alongside experienced Data Engineers, Tech Leads, and Data Architects. The role combines strong hands-on data engineering expertise with a technical leadership dimension, contributing to the design, development, and continuous improvement of modern data solutions in an international and collaborative environment.

Missions

• Design, build, and improve modern data solutions using Azure Databricks, PySpark, and SQL
• Develop and maintain data solutions based on batch and streaming technologies
• Develop and manage workflows and data processing
• Work with Unity Catalog
• Contribute to data modeling and transformation rules in collaboration with relevant technical and data stakeholders
• Take part in development, IT testing, UAT, and deployment activities
• Collaborate closely with Data Architects, Data Engineers, and other Tech Leads
• Contribute to technical discussions, challenge existing approaches, and proactively propose solutions and improvements
• Share knowledge and work closely with Tech Leads across Belgium and India
