Project Summary

Our Cloud Business Unit is restructuring its DevOps platforms and tools to support the organization’s transition to public cloud as the primary application hosting platform.

The service supports the GitHub Enterprise Server platform and SDLC backbone, developing automation and enterprise features that improve CI/CD capabilities, governance, compliance, and developer experience.

The service operates within an Agile environment using SRE methodology, focusing on automation, platform reliability, infrastructure management, and incident management. The role also contributes to mentoring other engineers as the team evolves toward managing a larger portfolio of products.

Goals and deliverables

Main Responsibilities & Key Activities

• Design and maintain infrastructure automation and platform capabilities

• Develop enterprise automation, integrations, and features supporting the GitHub Enterprise Server platform

• Contribute to the evolution and reliability of the SDLC backbone

• Implement automation processes aligned with SRE principles

• Support CI/CD automation ensuring code quality and security before deployment

• Contribute to platform reliability, governance, and compliance

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve development practices and tooling

• Mentor and support engineers within the team
