Tech Lead - Pyhton React & Aws H/F

At House of ABY, we are launching a brand-new software development team in Barcelona to support one of our key clients, a global leader in energy technology.

We are looking for a Tech Lead who wants to join us from day one, take ownership of the technical direction and help us build a high-performing engineering team from scratch.

🎯 What will you do?

Lead & grow the team

• Help recruit and build a team of five engineers.
• Define technical standards, development practices and ways of working.
• Mentor engineers and lead code reviews.
• Create a strong engineering culture focused on quality, ownership and continuous improvement.

Own the technical architecture

• Design scalable, secure and resilient AWS architectures.
• Define high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
• Lead threat modeling and embed security into the architecture from the beginning.
• Drive technical decisions across Python, React and AWS.
• Translate complex requirements into clear architecture diagrams and technical roadmaps.

Bring software into an industrial environment

• Integrate software risk management into NPI (New Product Introduction) processes.
• Contribute to FMEA activities and ensure software solutions meet industrial safety and reliability requirements.
• Champion DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, observability and reliable deployments.
• Collaborate within a SAFe environment, including PI Planning and cross-team coordination.

Become a technical partner

• Act as the technical point of contact between the development team and international stakeholders.
• Understand engineering and business needs and translate them into pragmatic technical solutions.
• Balance architecture, delivery, security, reliability and business priorities.
