Workplace Engineer - Endpoint & VDI - Permanent

Context

Our team is undergoing a SCCM > Intune migration, and we are seeking an experienced Workplace Engineer to join our Workplace team and support the management and evolution of our corporate end-user computing environment. The resource will work across three core areas: endpoint management via Intune, virtual desktop infrastructure using VMware/Omnissa, and Microsoft 365 administration in a hybrid cloud/on-premises setup. The role requires both technical depth and a hands-on approach to day-to-day operations, project delivery, and user support.

• Language: Portuguese + English working proficiency
• Budget: Monthly fixed rate (regardless of the number of working days in the month and vacation days taken by the resource): €3,570/month
• Seniority: No limits
• Modality: 2x per week mandatory in person: Monday and Tuesday

Missions

Endpoint Management (Microsoft Intune)

• Build and maintain a standardised Windows base image (OS + drivers + core software) deployable to corporate PCs via network using Intune
• Implement and validate automated Windows OS upgrade processes for new versions
• Ensure periodic security patch compliance across all corporate endpoints
• Create and deploy software installation/update packages to corporate devices
• Maintain software inventory and ensure licensing and configuration compliance

Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VMware / Omnissa)

• Setup: hardware sizing, VMware/Omnissa installation, base image configuration for virtual desktops, and pool definition
• Operations: manage hardware resources and pool capacity, monitor performance, and drive solution improvements
• Support: maintain and update virtual desktop base images, assist end users, and diagnose incidents

Microsoft 365 & Identity

• Install, configure, and manage Active Directory and Exchange in hybrid cloud/on-premises environments
• Administer Microsoft 365 services including Teams and OneDrive
• Manage identity and messaging infrastructure across AD and Exchange
