HR Manager - Permanent

Our client, a fast-growing deep-tech company in the photonics field, is looking for an HR Manager to take ownership of its HR function. You will manage the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and contracts to policies and day-to-day administration, in line with Belgian employment legislation. The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional who enjoys doing the operational work while helping build scalable HR foundations.

Responsibilities:

o Employment Contracts: Draft, review and manage employment contracts, amendments and terminations in accordance with Belgian employment legislation.

o Recruitment: Run the end-to-end recruitment process, from job descriptions, sourcing and screening to interviews, offers and onboarding, with a focus on specialized technical and engineering talent.

o HR Administration: Handle day-to-day personnel administration, including onboarding and offboarding, employee files, absence and leave tracking, and payroll coordination with the social secretariat.

o HR Policies & Regulations: Develop, maintain and update internal HR policies, employee handbooks, workplace regulations and related documentation as the company grows.

o Employee Support: Act as a trusted point of contact for employees and management on HRrelated questions.

o HR Advisory: Advise leadership on HR best practices, market benchmarks, employment matters and compliance requirements.

o HR Structure: Help establish scalable HR processes and practices suited to a growing deeptech organization.
