Junior Techno-Functional QA Engineer - Freelance

Context

As part of the expansion of an international team dedicated to critical trading applications, a major player in the financial markets is looking for a Junior Techno-Functional QA Engineer.

The consultant will work in a technical and collaborative environment alongside developers, Business Analysts, Project Managers and experienced QA Engineers. This role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in functional testing, backend/API testing, test automation and the validation of business-critical applications where reliability is essential.

Responsibilities and Expected Deliverables

The consultant will contribute to the preparation and execution of testing activities, including:

• Contributing to the definition of test strategies, objectives and scope;

• Preparing and executing manual and automated tests;

• Participating in regression testing and release validation;

• Identifying, reproducing, analysing and tracking defects;

• Documenting test results, coverage and associated risks;

• Collaborating with development teams to validate bug fixes;

• Contributing to the development of test automation scripts using Python;

• Using Linux, Git and databases to support investigations;

• Contributing to the continuous improvement of QA processes;

• Using AI tools to support test design, automation and documentation, with systematic human oversight.
