Description de la mission :

Context

An energy-sector organization is strengthening its Geospatial Product Team to deliver digital solutions that create business value and support critical asset management activities. The team works with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and future-proof solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards and business objectives.

Mission

As IT Solution Lead, you will act as the technical reference within the product team, bridging business needs and technology. You will oversee the design, integration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of custom-built and commercial software solutions throughout their lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of the technical aspects of the product lifecycle and provide technical leadership within the product team.

• Challenge, validate, and translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.

• Contribute to solution architecture and ensure solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements and comply with IT, security, and technology standards.

• Coordinate with internal functional and technical platforms during delivery and operational phases.

• Advise on software components, technology choices, resource needs, and IT budget estimates.

• Lead the technical implementation and configuration of geospatial products.

• Lead the build, deployment, and operational support of custom components integrated into the geospatial platform, primarily using Microsoft technologies such as .NET.

• Manage the integration and adaptation of off-the-shelf solutions within the broader IT landscape.

• Perform fit-gap analyses and contribute to technical evaluations, RFI/RFP processes, and software selection.

• Support incident, problem, and maintenance management; monitor supplier performance against SLAs and KPIs and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

• Contribute to product roadmaps, supplier management, license discussions, and SLA definition in collaboration with the Product Owner.

• Geospatial: Esri ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, APIs and SDKs; Safe Software FME

• Optional geospatial products: Vertigis Studio, Vertigis Integrator

• Microsoft technologies: .NET, Visual Studio, SQL Server, Microsoft Azure

• Cloud and containerization: Docker, Kubernetes, cloud-native architectures

• Practices: solution architecture, fit-gap analysis, software integration, IT service management

Profile

Experience

• Proven experience in software development, software integration, and/or solution management.

• Hands-on experience designing, integrating, and operating enterprise GIS solutions.

• Experience creating functional designs and data models, conducting fit-gap analyses, defining requirements, and participating in software selection processes.

• Experience with cloud technologies, containerization, and cloud-native architectures.

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Technical skills

• Strong practical expertise across the Esri ArcGIS ecosystem, including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, and relevant APIs/SDKs.

• Experience with geospatial data transformation, automation, and interoperability using Safe Software FME.

• Good understanding of .NET, Visual Studio, and SQL Server.

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native architectures.

• Solid understanding of software architecture, security standards, compliance requirements, and IT service management processes.

Soft skills

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams with business and technical stakeholders.

• Proactive, autonomous, customer-focused, and collaborative.

Languages

• Fluent in Dutch and/or French, with a strong command of English.

• Location: Schaarbeek, Belgium.

• For non-EU candidates working in Belgium, a valid Belgian work permit and residence permit confirming the right to reside in Belgium are required.

• Local purchasing and tender conditions depend on the jurisdiction in which the purchase order is created. The organization may need to change the purchase-order location, in which case the applicable local tender process must be followed.
