Lead Business SAP Finance & Controlling

Location: Brussels, Belgium

Work arrangement: On-site presence up to 5 days per week

Languages: Fluent French or Dutch, with professional working proficiency in English

Mission

We are looking for a highly experienced Lead Business SAP Finance & Controlling to drive business transformation initiatives across Finance, Controlling and Revenue Accounting.

Acting as a strategic partner to senior management and business stakeholders, you will bridge the gap between business strategy, financial processes and SAP solutions.

You will play a key role in SAP Finance transformation initiatives, particularly in SAP FI-CO and FI-CA, while ensuring alignment between business objectives, enterprise architecture and IT delivery.

A specific focus will be placed on international railway sales, revenue distribution and settlement processes between railway operators.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate business strategies into concrete transformation initiatives and SAP Finance roadmaps.

• Act as a subject matter expert in Finance, Controlling, Revenue Accounting and international railway settlement processes.

• Analyse business requirements, model processes and assess impacts across organisation, data and applications.

• Define high-level business and IT requirements and guide SAP functional teams towards appropriate solutions.

• Drive SAP S/4HANA Finance transformation initiatives.

• Lead and coordinate complex projects, maintenance activities and application support services.

• Manage relationships with senior management, business stakeholders, IT teams, architects and external partners.

• Coordinate testing, business acceptance, change management and organisational adoption.

• Provide strategic recommendations on financial processes, SAP solutions and target operating models.

• Lead, coach and develop multidisciplinary finance and business teams.

Required Profile

• Master's degree or equivalent professional experience.

• At least 10 years of experience as a Business Lead or Business Transformation Expert in complex environments.

• At least 10 years of experience in Finance, Revenue Accounting, General Accounting, IFRS compliance and Controlling.

• At least 10 years of professional experience in SAP FI-CO.

• At least 10 years of experience managing and leading finance teams.

• At least 10 years of experience in stakeholder management and business analysis.

• At least 5 years of experience in SAP Finance transformation projects.

• At least 5 years of experience managing or coordinating complex projects, application maintenance and support activities.

• At least 5 years of experience with project management methodologies and change management.

• At least 2 years of experience in international railway sales, revenue distribution and settlement processes.

• At least 2 years of experience in SAP FI-CA.

• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture and its impact on business processes, applications, organisation and data.

• Excellent leadership, communication, facilitation and negotiation skills.

• Strategic mindset combined with a pragmatic, analytical and results-oriented approach.

Additional requirement

Availability to work on-site up to five days per week, depending on project needs.
