Senior SAP ABAP Developer – SAP IS-U

Duration: Until November 2027

Role & Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior SAP ABAP Developer to join the SAP IS-U development team within the Utilities sector.

The consultant will be responsible for developing, maintaining and enhancing SAP applications, including:

• Designing and implementing technical solutions based on functional specifications.

• Developing ABAP and Object-Oriented ABAP (OO ABAP) solutions, including User-Exits, BAdIs and enhancements.

• Developing and maintaining interfaces using IDocs, ALE, BAPIs, RFC, SOAP Web Services and OData.

• Contributing to SAP S/4HANA developments and improvements.

• Performing unit tests, troubleshooting defects and ensuring code quality and technical documentation.

• Collaborating closely with functional analysts, SAP Basis and the technical team lead.

Required Skills

• Minimum 10 years of SAP development experience.

• Strong expertise in ABAP, OO ABAP and SAP backend development.

• Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA.

• Strong experience in SAP interface development and integration technologies.

• Fluent in English.

Nice to Have

• SAP IS-U experience in the Utilities sector.

• Knowledge of CDS Views, Web Dynpro, BRF+, BPEM/EMMA and SAP Fiori.

• Experience with data migration tools such as LSMW and EMIGALL.

• Knowledge of French and/or Dutch.

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and communication skills, autonomy, teamwork and the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly.
