Senior Finance Specialist – Cost / Fee Accounting & Reporting - Freelance

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Finance Specialist to join the Finance team in Amsterdam.

The role will be responsible for the end-to-end management of operational fees and costs, playing a key role in financial accounting and reporting processes while acting as a senior business partner to local and global stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting

• Record receivables and payables in Oracle Cloud, ensuring accurate accounting parameters such as cost centers and projects.

• Ensure correct VAT treatment in Oracle.

• Manage monthly accruals.

• Support the monthly book closing process in line with Group accounting principles.

Reporting & Financial Closing

• Perform monthly closing activities and full ledger reconciliations.

• Prepare detailed management reports and audit packs.

• Provide high-level variance analysis and explain key deviations.

• Ensure compliance with Group principles, permanent control requirements and local audit requirements.

Cash Management

• Own the Accounts Payable process and cash management activities.

• Process payments and bank statements.

• Monitor outstanding receivables and payables.

• Perform intercompany reconciliations.

Collaboration & Business Partnering

• Support Finance Managers and internal/external stakeholders proactively and independently.

• Ensure the financial integrity of the entity.

• Identify opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency.
