What You'll Do

Architecture & Standards

• Define a scalable approach to frontend state management across the application

• Establish frontend coding standards and development patterns for the team

• Set clear boundaries between UI components, business logic, state, and data fetching

• Lead technical decisions on frontend architecture and explain the trade-offs behind them

Build & Improve

• Improve maintainability, testability, and performance of the frontend codebase

• Build reusable components that raise consistency across the product

• Contribute to backend services and APIs when the work calls for it

Design Systems & Collaboration

• Drive adoption of the design system across product surfaces

• Turn Figma designs into production-ready experiences with designers

• Explore AI-assisted workflows that speed up design-to-implementation handoff

Team Impact

• Review code to raise the frontend bar across the team

• Mentor engineers on frontend architecture and best practices
  

What You Need

• Experience defining or significantly improving the architecture of an existing frontend codebase

• Advanced knowledge of TypeScript and a modern frontend framework, ideally React

• Practical experience solving state-management problems at scale, spanning local, shared, server, and URL state

• Experience building, integrating, or maintaining a design system

• Comfortable working across the stack, including APIs, data models, and backend architecture

• A track record of introducing standards or patterns that other engineers adopted
  

Nice to Haves

• Experience with AI-assisted development or design-to-code tools

• Experience modernizing a legacy or fast-growing frontend codebase

• Experience integrating Figma or a similar design tool into the development workflow

• Experience in a fast-moving product or startup environment

The pay range for this role is €99,000 - €133,000. We will support relocation to Paris for great candidates.
