Key Responsibilities

Oracle Database Administration

- Administer and maintain Oracle databases (Oracle 19c and later)
- Monitor database health, availability and performance
- Perform database tuning and performance optimization
- Implement and manage Oracle security configurations
- Install, test and deploy Oracle patches and upgrades
- Manage database storage structures and capacity planning
- Support database migrations and infrastructure changes
- Define and maintain database standards and best practices
- Manage and monitor Oracle licensing compliance
- Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning

Backup & Recovery

- Define and maintain backup strategies using RMAN
- Perform backup monitoring and validation
- Execute restore and recovery procedures
- Conduct regular disaster recovery tests
- Maintain recovery documentation and procedures

SQL / PL-SQL Development Support

- Support development teams using Oracle databases
- Assist in SQL query optimization and troubleshooting
- Review and improve PL/SQL code performance
- Support releases and deployments involving database changes
- Provide technical guidance to developers and application owners

Linux Infrastructure Administration

- Manage Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments
- Install security and operating system updates
- Administer storage at operating system level
- Manage LVM configurations and file systems
- Monitor server performance and capacity
- Perform troubleshooting of Linux-based application environments
- Support server lifecycle management and migration activities
- Automate recurring tasks using shell scripting

Application & Infrastructure Support

- Support business-critical applications running on Oracle and Linux platforms
- Collaborate with application owners and infrastructure teams
- Participate in incident resolution and root cause analysis
- Support infrastructure modernization and cloud transformation projects
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and operational standards

Mandatory:

- Oracle Database 19c or newer

- RMAN Backup & Recovery

Experience Required

- Minimum 5 years of Oracle Database Administration experience
- Minimum 5 years of Linux System Administration experience
- Experience with production critical environments
- Experience in backup, recovery and disaster recovery testing
- Experience supporting development teams
- Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Experience with infrastructure upgrades and migrations
