SAP HCM Functional Analyst Consultant - Freelance

Context

An experienced SAP HCM Functional Analyst Consultant is sought to support an SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central implementation. In this project, Employee Central will become the master system for employee and organisational data, while SAP ECC HCM will operate as the downstream system. The consultant will focus on the functional analysis of the current SAP ECC HCM Personnel Administration (PA) and Organisational Management (OM) solution, define future-state requirements, and support reliable replication and consumption of EC data in SAP ECC HCM.

Missions

• Analyse the existing SAP ECC HCM PA and OM configuration, business processes, data model, interfaces, enhancements, and dependencies.

• Document the current state and define the target operating model where SuccessFactors Employee Central is the system of record and SAP ECC HCM consumes replicated employee and organisational data.

• Perform fit-gap analysis between Employee Central and SAP ECC HCM for employee master data, organisational structures, jobs, positions, organisational assignments, and related reference data.

• Define and validate field mappings, value mappings, transformation rules, defaulting logic, and data ownership for EC-to-ECC replication.

• Assess the impact on PA infotypes, OM objects and relationships, personnel actions, dynamic actions, workflows, authorisations, reports, interfaces, and downstream processes.

• Support the functional design and configuration of SAP HCM Business Integration Builder (BIB) and related Employee Central integration components in collaboration with integration and technical specialists.

• Identify obsolete or conflicting local maintenance processes in SAP ECC HCM and define controls that prevent master data from being maintained outside Employee Central.

• Support data cleansing, data validation, migration, and reconciliation activities for PA and OM data.

• Prepare functional specifications, process documentation, mapping workbooks, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria.

• Coordinate and execute unit, system integration, regression, and user acceptance testing, including analysis and resolution of replication errors.

• Support cutover planning, go-live, and hypercare, and ensure knowledge transfer to the internal SAP HCM support team.

• Work closely with HR process owners, the SuccessFactors EC team, SAP HCM technical consultants, integration specialists, security teams, and downstream application owners.
