Senior Security Architect

Location: Brussels, Belgium

Work arrangement: On-site presence up to 5 days/week

Languages: English (C1) and Dutch (C1)

Mission

We are looking for an experienced Security Architect to translate strategic security objectives into robust technical solutions.

The consultant will contribute to the definition and evolution of the organisation's security architecture, covering IT, OT, cloud and network environments, with a particular focus on critical infrastructure and operational resilience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the target security architecture, applying Security by Design principles.

• Conduct security risk assessments, threat modelling and gap analyses.

• Define security standards and ensure compliance with NIS2, GDPR, ISO 27001, IEC 62443 and other relevant frameworks.

• Advise project teams on security requirements, particularly in complex IT/OT, SAP and cloud environments.

• Participate in architecture reviews and security governance activities.

• Identify and drive security improvements across infrastructure, identity management, monitoring and incident response.

Required Profile

• Master's degree in IT, Information Security or a related scientific discipline.

• Minimum 4 years of cybersecurity architecture and risk assessment experience in the railway industry.

• Valid CISSP certification.

• Certifications: ISA/IEC 62443, ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 42001.

• Strong understanding of security frameworks such as CyFun, NIST and NIS2.

• Fluent English (C1) and French or Dutch (C1).

• Ability to work autonomously and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
