SAP HCM Technical Analyst - 12 months - Freelance

Context

This is a full-time assignment based in Brussels with a hybrid work model requiring 3 days on-site near Brussels. The contract duration is 12 months with a possible extension. The role is within the IT / SAP department and reports to the Project Manager SuccessFactors.

Missions

• Implement and support the target master-slave model where SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central is the master system for employee and organisational data, and SAP ECC HCM is the downstream slave system.

• Perform technical analysis of the existing SAP ECC HCM PA and OM solution, including configuration, custom ABAP developments, enhancements, interfaces, workflows, reports, authorisations, and downstream dependencies.

• Translate functional requirements and approved solution designs into clear, complete technical specifications for SAP ECC HCM changes and integrations.

• Design and implement the technical master-slave model with SuccessFactors Employee Central as the system of record and SAP ECC HCM consuming replicated employee and organisational data.

• Configure and develop the SAP HCM Business Integration Builder (BIB) add-on for EC-to-ECC mapping, including field and value mappings, transformation and defaulting rules, replication parameters, and error handling.

• Develop and adapt SAP ECC HCM functionality in ABAP and relevant enhancement frameworks to maintain current PA and OM processes, reports, interfaces, and downstream applications within the new data ownership model.

• Assess the technical impact of replicated data on PA infotypes, OM objects and relationships, personnel actions, dynamic actions, workflows, authorisations, interfaces, and batch processes.

• Implement controls to prevent conflicting master-data maintenance in SAP ECC HCM while allowing required local processing outside Employee Central.

• Analyse and resolve replication, mapping, and data-consistency issues using BIB logs, application logs, IDocs, interfaces, and debugging tools.

• Prepare technical designs, mapping documentation, code documentation, transport instructions, unit test evidence, and operational support documentation.

• Execute unit and technical integration testing and support system integration, regression, and user acceptance testing, including defect analysis and remediation.

• Support data conversion, reconciliation, cutover, go-live, and hypercare activities, ensuring stable replication and continuity of existing SAP ECC HCM functionality.

• Collaborate closely with the SuccessFactors Employee Central functional team, SAP HCM functional analysts, integration specialists, security teams, HR process owners, and downstream application owners.
