Technical Product & Innovation Project Manager – Forestry & AI

Preferred Experience
Qualifications
* Around 2–4 years of relevant experience in a deeptech company, forest or geospatial technology, technical product, applied R&D or innovation project management. Strong candidates with a different path are welcome.
* Concrete experience contributing to a software or data product and making choices informed by user needs.
* Direct involvement in preparing a substantial R&D funding application, including technical writing and work on its budget or business plan. You can explain precisely what you produced yourself.
* Enough working knowledge of forests and forest data to frame a credible use case and draft a project proposal without needing a forest expert to write it for you.
* Technical fluency to discuss a TypeScript-based web platform (such as React/Next.js and NestJS), APIs, geospatial data and the machine learning lifecycle. Production coding is not required.
* Confidence in conversations with customers and technical partners; ability to explain both the value and the limits of a model.
* Strong written and spoken English and French. Fluent with IA tool.
Nice to Have
* Experience with satellite imagery, LiDAR, GIS, forest inventory, carbon or climate risk.
* Experience with innovation programs, including funded-project reporting.
* Familiarity with Python, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, model evaluation or LLM-based product features.
* Experience building budgets, financial projections or commercialisation plans for an early-stage technology company.
* Exposure to IP assessment or collaborative projects involving research and industry partners.
Soft Skills
* Curious about both how the technology works and what customers actually need.
* Able to form a point of view, defend it with evidence and change it when new evidence appears.
* A strong writer who can turn complex material into a coherent and convincing proposal.
* Organised and comfortable taking ownership when several deadlines compete for attention.
* Proactive in seeking opportunities, and selective enough to recognise when an application is not worth pursuing.
